This is the island resort of Genkainada. You can enjoy not only staying, but also fresh sea food, buffet, and hotspring.

“Sazae-san” is the most popular lunch. It includes Sazae-Kamameshi (Turban shell rice pilaf cooked in an iron pot) and baked turban shells.

From the window you can see Genkainada Sea.

This is a great place to find souvenires such as products made from seasonal seafoods from the island, soap that can only be bought here, and camellia oil – a good way to fill in time while waiting for the ferry.

Located half way up the road to Shika-umi Shrine this dried fish shop has been in business since 1931.
